The Star of Racing’s Victory: The Young Ball Boy!
Racing pulled off a thrilling comeback after initially trailing 0-1 against Corinthians. The home team turned the game around to win 2-1, securing a 4-3 aggregate score and advancing to the Copa Sudamericana Final.
The game’s first goal came from Yuri Alberto in the 6th minute, following a superb assist by Memphis Depay. Later, Juan Fernando Quintero netted a brace for Racing: the first from a penalty in the 36th minute, and another just three minutes later in the 39th.
However, the standout moment came during that second goal, as all eyes turned to the match’s ball boy. The young hero, Martín Santorro, a youth player in Racing’s 2009 category, quickly handed the ball to the player who set up Quintero’s decisive goal, sealing Racing’s victory at “El Cilindro.”
With this result, Racing advances to its first-ever Copa Sudamericana final, where they’ll face Cruzeiro on November 23 at the Estadio General Pablo Rojas in Asuncion, Paraguay. Catch all the action EXCLUSIVELY on beIN SPORTS.
