Liga de Quito drew (0-0) with Defensa y Justicia as visitors, and thanks to the 3-0 achieved last week in the Ecuadorian capital, they secured their ticket to the Copa Sudamericana final. The final will take place on October 28th at the Campus de Maldonado stadium in the Uruguayan city of Punta del Este.

The team led by Argentine Luis Zubeldía thus sealed their eighth international final, allowing the Ecuadorian representative to potentially claim their fifth title beyond their country's borders. This adds to their previous titles in the Copa Libertadores 2008, Copa Sudamericana 2009, and the South American Recopa 2009 and 2010.
