Before the second leg of the Copa Libertadores Quarterfinal between River Plate and Colo Colo at the Monumental in Buenos Aires, one of the CONMEBOL protocol kids took the opportunity to show her love for River Plate on camera while walking with Arturo “El Rey” Vidal.

The moment went viral after a week filled with fiery comments from the former Barcelona player aimed at River Plate. Vidal had boldly claimed that Colo Colo would win the second leg and even threw shade at River’s squad, saying he had more trophies than the entire River Plate team.

So, the Monumental crowd didn’t miss a chance to go after the Chilean player whenever they could. In this case, the girl walking with Vidal during the CONMEBOL protocol was the first to subtly but clearly show her love for River Plate right in front of the cameras, despite being hand-in-hand with Vidal.

In the end, River Plate beat Colo Colo 1-0 in the second leg, winning 2-1 on aggregate thanks to a goal from Facundo Colidio. The win knocked out Vidal’s Colo Colo, ending his Libertadores dreams as River moved on to the semifinals.
