Dortmund Announces Hummels Departure
The current Champions League runner-up announced they will be without their star defender for next season.
After Euro 2024 in Germany, Borussia Dortmund has announced that Mats Hummels and the team will part ways for the next season. There will be no contract renewal between the German club and the defender.
As stated by the club, the German defender and the Yellow and Blacks have been together for over thirteen years, leaving a mark on the team and a legacy of winning two Bundesliga titles and two DFB Pokals with Dortmund.
Borussia also thanks Hummels for everything he has given and done during his long stay with the German club and wishes him success in all his future endeavors.
All of this coincides with the news from yesterday when head coach Edin Terzic announced his departure from the German team.
