Bayer Leverkusen Sign Striker Martin Terrier
Bayer Leverkusen has announced the signing of French striker Martin Terrier from Ligue 1 side Rennes on a five-year contract.
The 27-year-old player, raised in Lille's youth academy, passed the medical examination and reportedly cost around $23.9 million, according to German media.
Terrier joins the German champions after spending the last four seasons with Rennes, where he played a key role despite being hindered by an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his right knee over the past two seasons.
After debuting with the team where he was trained, the forward, who can also play as a winger, moved to Olympique Lyon in 2018. After two seasons, he joined Rennes, where he delivered his best performances and helped secure the club's first-ever qualification for the Champions League.
