Toni Kroos stunned the football world with the announcement that he will retire from the sport at the end of Euro 2024, which he will play with the host nation, Germany.

Throughout his illustrious career, the German midfielder has shared the pitch with many greats, having played for teams like Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and the German national team, where encountering top-tier talent was a given.

In light of this, Kroos was asked in a 2023 interview about the best player he had ever played with. Without hesitation, Kroos responded, "Cristiano Ronaldo."

The 34-year-old shared the field with the Portuguese star at Real Madrid from 2014, the year Kroos joined the Spanish giants, until 2018, when the five-time Ballon d'Or winner left the club. Together, they won three consecutive Champions League titles.
