Real Madrid Closer to Their Best Level According to Ancelotti
Carlo Ancelotti, coach of Real Madrid, celebrated the improved performance of his team in the 4-1 thrashing of Espanyol, describing it as a "very complete match" and asserting that they are "gradually reaching their best version."
"It was a complete match; we played much better, with more rhythm, creating many opportunities. I’m pleased. We attacked faster, moving the ball with more speed, and some movements were better. We covered the area well," he assessed.
"Without a fixed striker like Kylian, Rodrygo entered fantastically well for the second goal, and Bellingham was involved in other occasions. Mobility is a very important weapon, and our recovery was good. We aimed to regain possession with pressure after losing the ball, and we did that quite well. We leave with a good dynamic. We are slowly returning to our best version," he added.
