Pep Guardiola's Congratulations to the Champions League Finalists
Manchester City failed to defend their Champions League title, being eliminated by the current finalist, Real Madrid, in the Quarterfinals of the ongoing competition.
This is something that Pep Guardiola, the coach of Manchester City, deeply regretted, stating that he would have preferred to remain in Europe even if it meant competing every three days, taking into account the Premier League schedule.
"I would have preferred to play in the semifinals... We have adapted to what we had to do. If we had only had three days between matches, we would have adapted as well," said a visibly melancholic Guardiola.
In addition, the Spanish coach took the opportunity to congratulate not only Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, the current Champions League finalists, but also Bayern Munich and PSG, the semifinalists: "We have to congratulate the two finalist teams, but even those who didn't make it, Bayern and PSG, played very well.
