NFL Experience for Neymar
The Brazilian was amazed by the Raiders' facilities, where he has been training while recovering from a knee injury.
Neymar Jr., star of the Brazilian national soccer team, who is recovering from a knee injury, trained on Thursday at the facilities of the Las Vegas Raiders, an NFL team.
"I'm very happy to train here, thank you very much for opening the door for me. This place is incredible, something I've never seen in my life, so thank you very much for the space," said the player through the Raiders' social media.
Neymar is recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee that he suffered last year, an injury that prevented him from joining his team for the Copa America being played in the United States. He has been supporting his team from the stands during their debut match.
In the video posted by the Raiders, Neymar is seen wearing a black shirt and a cap with the NFL team's silver and black logo.
The former star of Brazil's Santos, Spain's FC Barcelona, and France's PSG also shared part of his workout on his Instagram account. The footage shows him jumping over obstacles and doing some sprints in an indoor Raiders facility.
In another photo, Neymar is alongside Jack Jones, a 26-year-old cornerback from Las Vegas, who gave him a signed team jersey with the number 18.
Defensive end Maxx Crosby, a standout player for the franchise coached by Antonio Pierce, also showcased Neymar's visit on his social media, sharing a picture of them together in the Raiders' locker room.
Neymar took the opportunity at the end of the video to wish the Las Vegas team good luck for the 2024 season. "Hopefully next season you'll be champions," said the Al-Hilal player from Saudi Arabia.
Although the Brazilian star was not included in the roster for this Copa America, he recently visited his national team teammates before their match against Costa Rica last Monday, which ended in a goalless draw.
