Messi Still Hasn't Watched the World Cup Final
Lionel Messi talked about why he hasn't rewatched the World Cup final where Argentina beat France to lift the trophy.
Lionel Messi is currently one of the most watched players in the world, and it's no wonder. The current Inter Miami player continues to prove he's one of the best on the planet, which also means he enjoys a luxurious life in the comfortable city of Miami, USA.
Right now, Messi is focusing on and preparing for the Copa America with the Argentina national team, which will also take place in the United States from June 20 to July 15.
In an interview with "Infobae," Messi was asked if he had watched the World Cup final again since Argentina's victory over France.
"Honestly, no. My memories are all here, and I live it the way I remember it. There are many things that I might forget, but for now, I stick with what I have without rewatching it," Messi said.
"I’ve often said that I didn’t experience Dibu’s last save the way most people did because it happened so fast. I stayed back and didn't see it well, and then the counter-attack happened, and the ball came to me, and we ended with Lautaro’s header. So, I didn’t suffer through it the way everyone else did," the Argentine added.
"Yes, obviously, I’ve seen it repeated a thousand times. I didn’t watch the whole match, but I’ve seen highlights. Like I said, after becoming champions, you see so many replays. But the full match, the 90 minutes, the extra time, penalties, and all that, no," he concluded.
