Marc Casadó not focused on being a starter for Spain and waits for his moment
Barcelona midfielder Marc Casadó expressed how "very happy" he was with his debut for the Spanish national team and emphasized that "the important thing is to seize opportunities and enjoy everything that’s happening," considering his rising prominence at his club and his first appearance with La Roja.
The 21-year-old Casadó came on in the 70th minute of Spain's Nations League match against Denmark in Copenhagen, replacing the injured Martin Zubimendi, making him the 19th player to debut under coach Luis de la Fuente.
"The opportunities are coming, and the important thing is to know how to take advantage of them and enjoy everything that's happening right now... I’m very happy. At times like these, you think about all the people who’ve been with you along the way: family, friends, the people around you who’ve supported you during the tough times... Now it's time to enjoy this with them," Casadó said in statements shared by the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
For the midfielder from Sant Pere de Vilamajor (Barcelona), debuting with the national team is "an incredible joy" after establishing himself as a starter at Barça: "The whole journey has been worth it... Now, it’s time to enjoy and keep working."
