Nedim Bajrami, forward for the Albanian national team, broke the record for the fastest goal in the history of the European Championships by scoring against Italy just 23 seconds into the game following a defensive mistake by the "Azzurri."

The Sassuolo striker from Serie A scored after Italian defender Federico Dimarco made an error during a throw-in at the beginning of the second match of Group B on the first day of Euro 2024.

Dimarco, who plays for Inter Milan, attempted a backward pass, but Bajrami intercepted and placed the ball in the top left corner.

Both Italy and Albania are in Group B, along with Croatia and Spain.
