The Argentine Football Association (AFA) and Adidas have unveiled a commemorative jersey to celebrate 50 years of their partnership. This launch pays tribute to the first kit Adidas designed for the Argentine National Team at the 1974 World Cup in Germany, blending classic elements with modern details.
The jersey is distinguished by its traditional light blue and white vertical stripes, featuring the iconic gold Adidas trefoil logo, a symbol used by the brand in the 1970s.
Moreover, the AFA badge is presented in a simplified version with the letters “AFA” in gold, encircled by a laurel wreath and three stars representing the national team’s World Cup titles.
The Argentine National Team is expected to debut this commemorative jersey in their upcoming South American World Cup Qualifiers, specifically in the match against Peru on November 19, 2024.
The jersey is now available for purchase at official Adidas stores and the AFA’s online shop.
