André Onana has reportedly considered skipping the start of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with Cameroon to fulfill his duties within Manchester United. 

As reported by Sport 1, the Cameroonian goalkeeper has made the decision not to attend his team's first match in the continental competition, prioritizing the Premier League commitment against Tottenham on January 14, even though it was previously agreed that he would accelerate his arrival at the national team camp.

According to the same information, Onana made this decision in mutual agreement with the Cameroonian Football Federation, a move that has brought him under scrutiny and criticism. There are concerns that participating in AFCON might jeopardize his position within the Red Devils.
