After a long-awaited period, the Africa Cup of Nations has finally kicked off. The Olympic Stadium of Embipe turned into a true celebration as thousands of Ivory Coast fans eagerly awaited the debut of their national team in the tournament.

Ivory Coast, the host of AFCON 2023, opened the competition against Guinea-Bissau in a match where the atmosphere was electric from the very first minute.

Just three minutes into the game, the first goal of the competition was scored by Seko Fofana, the midfielder for The Elephants and Cristiano Ronaldo's teammate. Channeling his inner CR7, Fofana unleashed a BREATHTAKING strike to give the home team the lead.
