(VIDEO) Aubameyang's Wild Game: Misses One Penalty but Converts the Next
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had a wild game. In fact, the former Barcelona player could have become a hero for Gabon during the first round of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, but none of this was possible as he missed the first of two penalties he was given.
In the 15th minute, he was awarded a penalty after a play he initiated himself. However, despite having a laser pointed at his face, he missed the spot kick.
Later, in the 40th minute, he had another chance to redeem himself with another penalty, and he did not miss this time against Yassine Bounou. The big question is: what if he had scored both?
Had Aubameyang converted both penalties, Gabon might have drawn with the African powerhouse Morocco, who ultimately won 4-1. If Aubameyang had seized this opportunity, the match could have taken a different turn.
