Revealed How Michael Schumacher Communicates After Reappearing at Daughter’s Wedding Following 10 Years of Absence
There is much anticipation following the leak of news that Michael Schumacher made his first public appearance since his accident in 2013, where he suffered a severe traumatic brain injury that has required a prolonged and discreet recovery.
Last Saturday, Gina Schumacher got engaged to her boyfriend, Iain Bethke, at a finca in Mallorca that previously belonged to Florentino Pérez. However, the celebration took place under strict conditions and restrictions.
Since the accident, the 'Kaiser' has kept his private life highly secret, and his daughter's wedding was no exception; guests had to leave their cell phones outside to avoid any leaks. Although no images of Michael at the wedding have been released, it was confirmed that he was present, and details were revealed about how he communicates with others.
Elisabetta Gregoraci, ex-wife of Flavio Briatore, shared details about the condition of the former German driver: "Michael doesn't speak; he only communicates with his eyes," reported Diario de Mallorca and La Vanguardia. She also emphasized that "only three people can visit him, and I know who they are," insisting that Michael Schumacher did not want to miss his daughter's wedding.
Michael Schumacher may reappear at another event
Another wedding could be on the horizon for the former driver, as he was reportedly present when his daughter got married. Michael may also have the chance to see his son Mick say "I do" after a hint on social media from the 25-year-old couple.
The only photo of the event where Schumacher reappeared
This refers to the photograph shared by Gina-Maria through her Instagram account. A postcard showing her with her husband, newly married, with the message: "Forever yes to you, yes to forever."
What happened to Michael Schumacher?
Michael Schumacher suffered a serious skiing accident on December 29, 2013, while skiing in the French Alps. During the accident, Schumacher fell and hit his head against a rock, causing a severe traumatic brain injury despite wearing a helmet. He was immediately transported to the hospital and underwent several emergency surgeries to relieve pressure on his brain.
Schumacher remained in a medically induced coma for several months to stabilize his condition. After waking from the coma, he was moved to his home in Switzerland in September 2014, where he has continued his recovery privately. Since then, his family has kept his health status under strict confidentiality, and it is only known that he continues to receive intensive care and that his condition is delicate, although the exact extent of his cognitive and motor abilities remains unknown.
