Franco Colapinto (Williams), who qualified ninth for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the 17th round of the Formula 1 World Championship, expressed his excitement after reaching Q3 in only his second F1 qualifying session, calling it "an amazing feeling for me and the team."

"Making it to Q3 in my second F1 qualifying is incredible. I wasn’t expecting to get there, but I just focused on making it through each round and improving. The car has felt great this weekend, and I’ve been getting more comfortable with it, learning a new track for me," said the 21-year-old from Buenos Aires.

"I think we maximized every lap we did today," he added. "We had a tough start yesterday, but we worked hard to turn things around. It was important to regain confidence after the crash in the first practice session, especially on a street circuit," Colapinto shared.

"That mistake meant I couldn’t do a long run, which might hurt me for tomorrow. But I think we can prepare well tonight and figure out where I can improve," he said.

"I’m really proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, and this is just the beginning – there are plenty more races to come. Let's see what we can do tomorrow," Colapinto concluded after a stellar qualifying performance at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
