Komawut Faces Surging Samingdam In Main Event Of ONE Friday Fights 141

  • Don’t miss ONE Friday Fights every Friday at 7:30 AM ET on beIN SPORTS

ONE Championship returns to Bangkok with a stacked fight card featuring rising stars, elite Muay Thai talent, and the return of one of the promotion’s brightest young sensations.

Event Overview

ONE Championship is kicking off the month with some of the brightest young superstars in the martial arts industry. The promotion brings ONE Friday Fights 141 back to Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium on February 6, and fans will get to see 14 matches across Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA. Thai technician Komawut FA Group battles knockout artist Samingdam NF Looksuan in the flyweight Muay Thai main event, teenage sensation Detchawalit Silkmuaythai tests himself against Myanmar veteran Saw Min Min in the bantamweight co-main event, and 19-year-old superstar Johan Ghazali returns to the show that made him famous.

A Styles Clash In The Main Event

Komawut FA Group needs a statement performance. The 26-year-old Thai brings formidable clinch skills and aggressive boxing combinations that have overwhelmed opponents throughout his career, but recent setbacks have pushed that US$100,000 contract further out of reach.

Training at one of Thailand's premier gyms has sharpened his technical game, and his ability to maintain relentless forward pressure makes him dangerous against anyone willing to exchange at close range.

Samingdam NF Looksuan, however, enters the main event with serious momentum. The 23-year-old knockout artist has rattled off three straight victories and carries legitimate finishing power in both hands. What makes him particularly dangerous is his unpredictability.

After all, Samingdam’s flying techniques and sudden attacks create highlight-reel moments without warning. The Looksuan-trained striker thrives on catching opponents off guard with sudden explosions of violence. If he can deliver on Friday, he may get the life-changing contract he seeks.

Teen Phenom Faces Myanmar Veteran

Eighteen years old with a 48-5 record sounds impossible, but Detchawalit Silkmuaythai has already accomplished what most fighters never achieve in entire careers. The Thai sensation has been picture-perfect in his brief ONE Championship run, knocking out both of his opponents in the first round.

In both matches, Detchawalit teased fans with a seemingly well-rounded arsenal that includes sharp boxing, heavy kicks, and advanced clinch skills that shouldn't exist in a teenager. Training under elite coaches has accelerated his development into a complete Muay Thai fighter.

Saw Min Min brings everything Detchawalit hasn't seen yet – experience, adaptability, and the wisdom that comes from competing at the highest levels across multiple disciplines.

The Myanmar veteran is a Lethwei practitioner who even dabbled in mixed martial arts, ultimately knocking out two opponents in the first round to win the ONE Myanmar Flyweight Tournament Championship in June 2017. And Saw Min Min proved last year that he can even compete at Muay Thai’s highest levels, as he knocked out Josh Trowbridge in his ONE Friday Fights debut.

Ghazali Returns To The Show That Made Him Famous

Johan Ghazali will return to the show that made him famous this Friday. The 19-year-old American-Malaysian sensation already earned his spot on ONE Championship's main roster, having scorched four opponents in devastating fashion to win his contract.

Though he dealt with some adversity last year, losing razor-close decisions to Johan Estupinan and Diego Paez, he silenced critics by finishing Zakaria El Jamari in nearly two minutes last September. In that quick performance, Ghazali reminded everyone why he is such a special talent, as he displayed the powerful hands, sharp elbows, and fearless pocket fighting that made him a fan favorite.

Still, some pundits are wondering if that knockout was a return to form or just a moment in the sun. Ye Yint Naung provides the perfect test in this flyweight Muay Thai showcase. Ghazali's aggressive style and willingness to engage in firefights creates constant entertainment, but it also leaves openings for opponents who can weather the early storm.

That’s where Ye Yint Naung could possibly shine. He is a 20-year-old Lethwei practitioner known for keeping a high guard. And now with him training under Mehdi Zatout at Venum Training Camp, he is rounding out his Muay Thai skills and could shock the American-Malaysian megastar.
