China's Wang Cong surprised the crowd by wearing makeup inspired by the comic book character The Joker during the weigh-in for her fight against Gabriella Fernandes on Saturday, leaving the Brazilian fighter confused.

Cong, 32, flipped an imaginary coin before pretending to fire a gun, mimicking the iconic DC Comics supervillain as part of the pre-fight spectacle at UFC Fight Night in Macau, China.

Fernandes, 31, appeared bewildered, shrugging her shoulders and asking Cong, "What?"

Nicknamed "The Joker," Cong has had an impressive start to her UFC career, securing two first-round technical knockout victories.

Meanwhile, Fernandes looks to build momentum following her win against Carli Judice in June, after losing her first two fights in the promotion.

On the preliminary card, English flyweight Lone’er Kavanagh will make his UFC debut against Peru’s José Ochoa after earning a contract through Dana White's Contender Series in August.

The event will be headlined by a bantamweight clash between Brazil's Deiveson Figueiredo and Russia's Petr Yan.
