New York's Madison Square Garden became the stage for another historic UFC night, where Jon Jones reaffirmed his supremacy as the heavyweight champion by defeating Stipe Miocic with a brutal third-round knockout. In a clash between two legends of the sport, Jones once again showcased why he is considered one of the greatest fighters of all time.  

From the start, Jones set the pace. In the first round, an early takedown allowed the champion to take control, punishing Miocic with his trademark elbows. Despite the former champion’s attempts to close the distance with his boxing, Jones expertly managed the timing and range, securing a clear advantage on the scorecards during the first two rounds.  

The climax came in the third round when a spinning kick to the body left Miocic breathless and on his knees in the octagon. The referee quickly intervened, calling an end to the fight and once again cementing "Bones" as one of the sport’s all-time greats. After his victory, Jones dedicated the moment to Jesus Christ and hinted at his future in the octagon: “I’m not retiring. Let’s see what Dana White says, but fans can expect exciting news soon.”  

Meanwhile, Miocic, widely recognized as the greatest heavyweight in UFC history, announced his retirement following the loss. “I hoped to be the first to defeat him in this category, but it wasn’t meant to be. Now it’s time to say goodbye. Thank you all for your support,” the Ohio firefighter declared with visible emotion.
