Jake Paul Challenges Canelo Álvarez: "I'm Coming for Him"
Jake Paul has once again publicly challenged Canelo Álvarez, claiming not only that he's ready to face him but also that he would win.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, Paul declared, "Everything I've said has come true, so Canelo should be awake, because I'm coming for him."
The influencer and boxer confidently added that this isn't the first time he's been underestimated. According to Paul, when he announced his plans to fight and defeat figures like Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva, people called him "crazy," but he proved his doubters wrong by winning those bouts.
"People laughed, but I won, and the same will happen when I face Canelo," Paul stated.
Jake Paul has used his social media platforms to continue fueling this challenge, even sharing a mock poster of the potential fight. In his posts, he highlighted that if his brother Logan could fight Floyd Mayweather, then he could certainly face Canelo, whom he considers a more accessible challenge due to being younger than Mayweather was when Logan faced him.
Although many in the boxing community are skeptical of this challenge, Paul remains firm in his belief that he can shock the world and create one of the most unexpected stories in the sport. According to Paul, "The fight will happen, and when it does, I'll surprise everyone."
So far, Canelo Álvarez has downplayed Jake Paul's provocations, stating on several occasions that a fight between them could only happen as an exhibition in the future.
