LeBron James Speaks About His Future and Asks for Silence
LeBron James posted a message on his 'X' account this Tuesday to underline that he still doesn't know his future and to ask for silence after reading and hearing "many reports" about his plans following Monday's elimination in the NBA playoffs against the Denver Nuggets.
"I have seen and heard many reports about my future. I said it last night and I'll say it again. I don't know yet because I'm only thinking about spending time with my family and friends," LeBron wrote.
"When I know, after talking to my family, my advisors, and my agent, you will know," he added.
LeBron James closed his message by asking for silence until he clarifies his decision.
James, 39, has a player option of $51.4 million for the 2024-2025 season to stay with the Lakers.
"I'm not going to respond to this, thank you," LeBron said Monday with a smile in the press room at the Ball Arena in Denver when asked if he had thought about whether that would be his last game with the purple and gold.
"I'm going to be with my family," LeBron assured when referring to his short-term plans, and added that he will then focus on preparing for the Paris Games this summer.
