LeBron James, the leader of the Los Angeles Lakers, shared a photo of a scorpion he found in his hotel shower in Phoenix, where he’s staying ahead of a preseason game against the Suns. The NBA star expressed his relief at narrowly avoiding a dangerous sting.

"The scorpion tried to get me as I was stepping out of the shower. Thankfully, I was looking down and saw it move. Welcome to Arizona," LeBron wrote on his Instagram account.

The 39-year-old James is in Phoenix with the Lakers as they prepare for their second-to-last preseason game before the regular NBA season begins.

The Lakers will face the Suns this Friday, with the game scheduled to start at 7:00 PM local Phoenix time.
