Alcaraz deals up another defeat for De Minaur

The pair has met four times, with the Spaniard winning each encounter, and Alcaraz extended his current winning streak to eight matches.
Alcaraz won his second ATP Tour title of the season in Monte-Carlo last week, and was relatively untroubled by De Minaur here as he claimed his victory in one hour and 39 minutes.
“I started quite badly with the serve, I was struggling a little bit mentally with [it],” Alcaraz said.
“It was just the first few games with my serve, then I think I improved a lot. I calmed myself down and started to think positively again. Alex started strong, playing aggressively, and the first set was really tight.”
Alcaraz is now among a group of six players to record eight consecutive ATP Tour wins in 2025.
He won back-to-back titles in Barcelona in 2022 and 2023 and faces Arthur Fils in the semi-finals, who was handed an easy task against Stefanos Tsitsipas after the Greek retired in the third game of their quarter-final clash.
