Barca not thinking about Champions League semi-finals – Lewandowski
Barcelona have one foot in the Champions League semi-finals after beating Borussia Dortmund 4-0, but Robert Lewandowski called for focus.
Robert Lewandowski insists Barcelona are "not thinking about the Champions League semi-finals yet", despite their dominant victory over Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday.
Hansi Flick's side soared into a 4-0 lead in the first leg of their quarter-final tie at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys, putting themselves on the brink of a place in the last four.
Lewandowski netted twice – taking his tally for the club to 99 – after Raphinha opened the scoring, while Lamine Yamal was also on target later on.
And the striker insists Barca cannot afford to take their foot off the gas in next week's return leg.
"We played very well," he told Movistar. "We are not thinking about the semi-finals yet.
"We always want to play our football. We'll go to win in Dortmund. We played a very good second half. We have to keep playing like this. This is the Champions League.
"We play as a team; that's the most important thing. It doesn't matter if the strikers score, it's the team that's important. It is a step forward, but we still have more steps to go."
With 29 goals in 28 appearances against his former club, Lewandowski has now scored more often against Dortmund than he has versus any other club in his career.
His coach, Flick, registered his 25th Champions League win from just 29 matches in charge, becoming the quickest coach to reach that tally in the competition, taking five games fewer than former Barca boss Luis Enrique.
However, the German concurred with Lewandowski that, despite his side's strong position, the tie is far from over.
"The result is important and also the way we play," he added. "That is what has happened.
"We are not through. Football is a crazy sport. In Dortmund, we have to play like today, and make few mistakes."
