The Australian breezed into the last four in little more than an hour with a 6-1 6-2 thrashing of Great Britain's lucky loser Jacob Fearnley in their quarter-final, winning four of the seven break points he manufactured and dropping only four points on his first serve throughout the match.
Alcaraz, meanwhile, was similarly untested in his last-eight encounter with Laslo Djere from Serbia, whom he beat 6-2 6-4 to extend his winning streak to seven matches after winning the title at the Monte Carlo Masters last week.
But De Minaur still boasts the most match wins at ATP 500 with 37 since the start of the 2023 season.
De Minaur and Alcaraz were the only two players on the ATP Tour to have chalked up 20 wins in 2025, but local hope Alejandro Davidovich Fokina joined them after winning his quarter-final against Russia's Andrey Rublev 7-5 6-4.
Rublev's countryman Karen Khachanov had a better time of it against his Spanish opponent Jaume Munar, winning 7-5 6-4 to stamp his semi-final ticket.
