Ronaldo brace inspires Portugal rout
Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice in the opening 20 minutes as Portugal thumped Bosnia and Herzogovina 5-0 in a strange match in which all the goals were scored in the first half.
The victory consolidated Portugal's healthy lead at the top of UEFA Euro qualifying Group J, Roberto Martinez's men having won eight from eight and amassed 32 goals for with just two against.
Slovakia maintained second-place in the group with a 1-0 win over Luxembourg, while Iceland belted Liechtenstein 4-0.
Elsewhere, Netherlands edged Greece 1-0 in their blockbuster Group B clash. In ann incident-packed match that included a red card and a missed penalty, Virgil van Dijk's late winner moved Ronald Koeman's team above the Greeks into second - behind France. Level on 12 points, both sides have it all to play for in the final rounds.
In the Group's other game, Ireland took care of Gibralter 4-0.
Group H action was marred by a shooting in Brussells which left two dead and brought Belgium's qualifier against Sweden to an abrupt end, both sets of players agreeing to abandon the match at halftime. Austria beat Azerbaijan 1-0.
