Udinese puts Cagliari to the sword
Udinese's strong start to the Serie A continued on Saturday (AEDT) as it beat 10-man Cagliari 2-0 to move up to fourth on the table.
Cagliari saw Antoine Makoubou sent off on the half-hour mark and eight minutes later, Udinese took advantage of its numerical advantage to go ahead through Lorenzo Lucca.
Keinan Davis doubled the lead on 78 minutes to move Udinese into the top four, equal on 16 points with third-placed Juventus and three points off leader Napoli. Cagliari is in 15th on nine points.
