Juve makes up ground after Turin derby win
Juventus claimed bragging rights in the Derby Della Mole with a tight 2-0 win over Torino to move within one point of the Serie A summit ahead of Napoli and Inter Milan's big clash on Monday (AEDT).
Goals in either half from Timothy Weah and Kenan Yildiz respectively proved to move Juve up to third on the table with 24 points, while for Torino, a third straight defeat saw it stuck in 11th and under threat for Roma and Verona having led the league in September.
Torino has just one win in its past seven outings and fell behind in the 18th minute when Weah tapped into an empty net after Vanja Milinkovic-Savic had failed to hold Andrea Cambiaso's shot.
Yildiz doubled the lead six minutes from time with a stooping back-post header.
