Dimarco wondergoal puts Inter back on top
Inter Milan returned to the top of the Serie A table after Ferderico Dimarco set it on its way to. 2-0 win over Frosinone with a goal so spectacular, it left everyone inside San Siro gobsmacked.
The full back somehow scored from just inside Frosinone half, but pinned to the left touchline, and he did it with his first touch after Hakan Calhanoglu passed the ball to him in what appeared to everyone to be an inocuous field position.
But Dimarco saw otherwise, and somehow spotted Frosinone goalkeeper Stefano Turati far enough off his line to try one of the most audacious attempts on goal imagineable, and it worked, the ball looping high over Turati, creeping just under the bar to nestle in the net.
The sceond goal came early in the second half when Calhanoglu completed a fine afternoon by scoring from the penalty spot and becoming the highest scoring Turkish player in the history of Serie A in the process.
Inter goes into the international break two points clear of closest chaser Juventus in second, and now has an eight-point gap on city rival AC Milan in third.
