Balotelli makes debut of bench in Genoa win
High profile recruit Mario Balotelli played five minutes off the bench as Genoa defeated Parma 1-0 to move out of the Serie A relegation zone.
It was the veteran strikers first appearance for Il Grifone since announcing a shock return to the Italian top flight in October.
His presence on the bench, followed by a brief cameo off it, appeared to have the desired effect on Alberto Gilardino's team, which recorded just its second win of the season to move to nine competition points and edge past 18-placed Monza on eight points.
