PSG signs Brazilian Gabriel Moscardo from Corinthians
Paris Saint-Germain has signed Brazilian teenager Gabriel Moscardo from Corinthians for an initial fee of around $33 million.
The 18-year-old midfielder has put pen to paper on deal which ties him to the French champion until 2028 but will return to Corinthians on loan for the remainder of this season.
Corinthians announced on its official website that PSG would pay the initial fee for its home-grown player, with a possible extra $3.3 million in performance-related bonuses.
Moscardo, a Brazil Under-23 international, said on his new club’s website: “I’m very happy to be joining Paris St Germain; this is one of the best days of my life.
“It’s a project with some talented young players in it. I’m looking forward to joining up with the squad and to meeting the team and the coaching staff, and I hope to win many trophies with Les Rouge et Bleu and to make the fans happy.”
