Perez scores late to give Villarreal victory
Ayoze Perez scored in the fifth minute of stoppage-time to secure all three points for Villarreal in a 2-1 tussle at Sevilla.
The visitors had started with a bang at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, going ahead inside two minutes when Arnaut Danjuma slotted home, but the hosts got level on the stroke of half-time when Dodi Lukebakio produced a superb volleyed finish to make it 1-1.
Sevilla had much of the better chances in the second half but were denied on several occasions by some excellent goalkeeping from Diego Conde, who was named man of the match as his efforts proved crucial when Perez scored the winner.
Villarreal sits second on the early table as a result of the win, with Sevilla still searching for its first victory of the season having drawn its opener last weekend against Las Palmas,
