Leganes salvages a point at Rayo Vallecano
Juan Cruz scored another stunner as Leganes rescued a point at Rayo Vallecano in a 1-1 draw in LaLiga.
The visitors had gone behind early when Sergio Camello put Rayo in front on eight minutes and they were thankful to the semi-automated offside system when Jorge de Frutos was pinged by the narrowest of margins to rule out a second for the hosts.
Marko Dmitrovic was called into making two excellent saves soon after that, the second keeping out a James Rodriguez effort, and those missed opportunities would prove vital for Rayo.
Minutes later, Valentin Rosier broke into the Vallecano box and played the ball back for Juan Cruz, who coolly side-footed a precise finish into the top corner to level the game.
The point keeps Leganes two points clear of the dropzone, while Rayo Vallecano sits eighth on the table.
