Jesus Navas in tears after superb Sevilla winner
Veteran Spain star Jesus Navas fought back the tears at the final whistle after his sensational goal in Sevilla's 1-0 victory over Getafe made him the oldest player to score in the club's LaLiga history.
At 38 years and 298 days, Navas made history with a thunderous 23rd-minute strike that gave Sevilla a deserved win, its first of what has been a difficult season this far.
The victory didn't come easy, Sevilla being reduced to 10 men in the 86th minute when Juanlu Sanchez was sent off for simulation in the Getafe box.
The hosts also had to endure 14 minutes of added time at the end of the regulation 90 minutes as a result of several lengthy stoppages.
But the main headlines were reserved for Navas, who will finish his career at Sevilla at the end of this season having returned to his home club in 2017 from Manchester City.
