De Frutos double seals Rayo Vallecano victory
Two second-half strikes from Jorge de Frutos earned Rayo Vallecano a come-from-behind win at Valladolid in LaLiga.
The win keeps Inigo Perez's side inside the top 10, eighth on the standings with 13 points, but for Valladolid the news is not so good as it languishes in second-last position with just five points and one win for the season.
Spirits were high when Selim Amallah put the hosts ahead on 51 minutes with a scrappy opener, but de Frutos levelled matters six minutes later with a powerful finish from inside the box after a slick move from the visitors.
De Frutos was on hand to seal all three points 10 minutes from time, again blasting high into the net after Andrei Ratiu's header had bounced back off the post.
Vallecano had a late scare when it was forced to clear the ball off its line with only two minutes left to play, but ultimately held on to take all three points home.
