Barcelona continues its flow under Flick
Coach Hansi Flick said he had his Barcelona side in a "flow" after watching it dismantle Real Madrid's hopes of a record 44th straight win in LaLiga with an emphatic 4-0 win in El Clasico.
A Robert Lewandowski double and goals from Yamine Lamal and Raphina saw the visitors dominate the second half after frustrating Madrid's attempts to play in behind its defence, catching Los Blancos offside eight times in the first half alone and 12 times across the match.
"We started a journey and I think we're doing really good," he said after the match. "I always say we'd love to make things better and we do it also, and today was not easy.
"But we defended really well and we keep going on our idea, of how we want to play football. We have a flow at the moment and so we have to keep going."
Barcelona lost both Clasicos and the title to Madrid last term, but on the evidence of this performance, that story could be flipped by the end of this season.
Flick faces a more local derby test next weekend when Espanyol visits his side while Madrid will visit Valencia knowing it can ill afford to drop many more points if its to keep pace with Barcelona's relentless progress under the German.
Such chalenges are all part of why the former Germany coach is enjoying life at Barca.
"I'm delighted to be working at Barcelona and to live in Barcelona," he added.
"It's a fantastic job, I'm very happy.
"We have played a fantastic game and I am so proud."
