Huddersfield all but relegated from Championship
Huddersfield Town saw its relegation from the Championship all but confirmed after a 1-1 draw with fellow struggler Birmingham City.
The Terriers avoided a defeat that would have seen them relegated, but even a win over promotion hopeful Ipswich Town on the final day will not be enough unless it completes a huge goal-difference swing of 15 to overhaul Plymouth Argyle.
Birmingham remains in the third relegation place and now must beat Norwich City to stand any chance of staying up with Sheffield Wednesday, Plymouth Argyle and Blackburn Rovers also still in danger.
At the other end of the table, the Canaries dropped points in a 2-2 draw with Swansea City, leaving the door open for Hull City, which closed the gap to the top six with its thrilling 3-3 draw against Ipswich.
Sixth-placed West Bromwich Albion is also under pressure in the play-off hunt, its 3-0 defeat to Wednesday meaning it remains just three points clear of Hull.
Meanwhile, on the final day in EFL League Two, Sutton United was relegated from the Football League after a 4-4 draw with MK Dons, joining Forest Green, whose relegation was already confirmed.
With the top three of Stockport County, Wrexham and Mansfield Town already set in stone, there were three play-off places left to be decided.
Ten-man Doncaster Rovers finished fifth after a 2-2 with Gillingham and will face Crewe Alexandra in the play-offs, after it claimed sixth place with a 1-1 draw against Colchester United.
MK Dons had already secured fourth spot and will play Crawley Town in the other semi-final after it beat Bradford City to the other play-off spot, thanks to a 2-0 victory over Grimsby Town.
