Stoke earns Pelach a second and vital win
Stoke City claimed a much-needed 2-1 victory over Derby County, just its second win under new boss Narcis Pelach since he took over at the EFL Championship club.
Tom Cannon won and converted a first-half penalty to put the Potters ahead, but Derby got back on terms after a comical own goal credited to Stoke goalkeeper Viktor Johansson on 68 minutes, although he was largely helpless to stop Ben Gibson's header back to him when there was no danger present at all.
However, Gibson made up fo the error when he headed the winning goal eight minutes from time from a corner, with Derby enraged by Junior Tchamadeu's heavy challenge on Nat Phillips going unpunished.
The win lifted the Potters up to 16th on the table, now level on points with the Rams, and four other clubs in an always congested division.
