Lampard's Coventry keeps play-off dream intact
Coventry City beat 10-man West Bromwich Albion 2-0 to hold on to sixth place in the EFL Championship as Frank Lampard's push for promotion to the Premier League recevied another boost.
Jack Rudoni struck after just six minutes for the Sky Blues, while Matt Grimes doubled the lead early in the second half.
It proved another blow to the play-off hopes of West Brom, which had Callum Styles sent off, with the Baggies now six points adrift of the top six with only three games remaining.
Coventry occupies that sixth and last play-off position, three points clear of Middlesbrough, which also won its match 2-1 against bottom side Plymouth Argyle.
