Werder wins unbelievable seven-goal thriller
Jens Stage took centre stage with a hat-trick as Werder Bremen fought back from three goals down inside the opening 12 minutes, to beat Hoffenheim 4-3 in an incredible Bundesliga match.
A double from Marius Bulter and one to Adam Hlozek lifted Hoffenheim to a 3-0 lead inside the first 12 minutes of the match, but a red card to Stanley Nsoki on 18 minutes appeared to flip the game on its head.
Three minutes after Nsoki left the field, Julian Malatini got one back for Werder, before Stage struck twice in 15 minutes to make it 3-3 at the break.
Stage completed his hat-trick within five minutes of the restart in the final scoring act of a breathless Bundesliga clash that finished 4-3 to Weder Bremen.
