Freiburg fires to leave Heidenheim humbled
Ritsu Doan struck a sensational opener to get Freiburg on its way in a comprehensive 3-0 win at Heidenheim.
The victory has put the visitors into second place on the Bundesliga table after claiming nine points from its four matches so far, with Bayern Munich three points ahead in top spot.
Doan fired home a brilliant left-footed strike in the 54th minute after a goalless first half, and Vincenzo Grifo double the lead just five minutes later with the first of a double for him on the day.
It was Grifo's first double in more than a year for Freiburg and made sure of the points for Julian Schuster's side.
