Barcelona stars light up the internet
Barcelona players past and present are setting the internet alight with their audacious skills.
First it was 39 year-old Dutch legend Patrick Kluivert, who played for the Blaugrana from 1998-2004, lighting up a charity match between the Barcelona Legends and Uganda All Stars on Sunday (AEDT).
Kluivert spotted the young Uganda 'keeper off his line and produced a highlight reel lob, although the Legends lost 5-3 in an entertaining match that thrilled the Nelson Mandela Stadium crowd.
From past to present, it was modern maestro Lionel Messi causing similar gasps of approval during training in Japan for the Club World Cup.
No sooner had Barcelona touched down for the tournament, the Argentinian was wowing local fans with his training ground trick shots.
Messi and his team-mates will play Asian champion Guanzhou Evergrande on Thursday for a spot in the CWC final, a match that will see Brazilian star Neymar up against his 2014 FIFA World Cup manager, Luiz Felipe Scolari.
