Youth Meets Experience In The Main Event
In the main event of ONE Friday Fights 175, surging Thai veteran Lamsing T1 Fight Academy will attempt to get his fourth straight win when he faces young Moroccan powerhouse Abdessamie Rhenimi, who plans to stop his older rival in his tracks.
Lamsing has been incredibly successful and could truly be one victory away from getting the life-changing US$100,000 contract and coveted global roster spot. The Thai, who holds a 73-18 career record, has spent the past two and a half years stamping his name on the ONE Friday Fights circuit.
Since February 2024, he has claimed seven victories, but each time he builds some momentum, another hungry Muay Thai fighter throws a monkey wrench into his path. Currently, the 30-year-old veteran finds himself on a three-bout winning streak, most recently defeating Fakhriddin Khasanov via unanimous decision, and he wants to keep the train moving.
But Rhenimi truly needs a victory in the worst way. The 20-year-old is still gaining experience, and his recent losses to Payakrut Suajantokmuaythai and Denkriangkrai Mavinn Muaythai have certainly taken the wind from his sails. But now, he has a chance to show that youth can prevail over wisdom when the ONE Championship lights shine the brightest.
Mahesuan’s Firepower Faces Bakjo’s Flawless Run In Co-Main Event
In a division ruled by a generational talent, ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Nadaka Yoshinari, the promotion is trying to unearth future challengers – and the ONE Friday Fights 175 co-main event could possibly produce the contenders of tomorrow (granted, they secure their life-changing contracts and global roster spots, of course).
Mahesuan Aekmuangnon brings more experience into the tilt, owning a 81-21 career record with four wins in ONE Championship. As illustrated in his promotional run, he engages with his opponents and rarely leaves the decision in the hands of the judges, which could produce terrific results or disastrous outcomes.
As it stands, the 26-year-old Mahesuan has had terrific results lately, coming off back-to-back knockout performances, so he could truly be hitting his stride.
But his opponent, Bakjo Sitkhunma, is on fire right now, as he owns 48 career wins and has been flawless in ONE Championship so far. The 21-year-old Thai is coming off a pair of solid showings, and another big victory over his veteran rival would be a massive feather in his cap.
