Paris Saint-Germain were held to a rare 1-1 home draw against underdogs Nantes in Ligue 1 on Saturday.

PSG had taken an early lead but after being pegged back by Matthis Abline's goal, they could not find a winner at the Parc des Princes.

The match had barely started when Goncalo Ramos flicked a cross into the box to Achraf Hakimi, who easily slotted the ball into the net, giving PSG a flying start in just two minutes.

Lee Kang-In almost doubled their lead 20 minutes later, but could only strike the post after beating Patrik Carlgren.

However, Nantes refused to give up against the league leaders, equalising seven minutes before the break with a goal from Abline, who breezed past Willian Pacho to score with their first shot on target.

PSG pressed hard for a late winner, driving Nantes into a resolute defensive stance, but the visitors held firm, weathering the storm as Goncalo Ramos failed to capitalise on two great chances.

Luis Enrique's side are still alone at the top with 33 points, seven points ahead of Monaco, who play Marseille on Sunday, while Nantes are in 16th, the relegation play-off spot, with 11 points.

PSG were on a five-game winning run in Ligue 1 and were looking to put a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League behind them.

They set a new record for possession in a Ligue 1 game since Opta records began in 2006-07, seeing 84.1% of the ball during the game.

PSG also had 24 shots, with six of those classed as big chances. They also had 115 final third entries compared to Nantes' 22, but could not find a way past their stubborn visitors, who ended a run of three losses on the road.
