Mourinho’s Fenerbahce drop points against Kayserispor in the Süper Lig
Fenerbahce, led by José Mourinho, missed a big chance to stay in the Süper Lig title race after a 3–3 draw with Kayserispor on Matchday 32. The home side’s goals came from a brace by Anderson Talisca and a stunning volley from Allan Saint-Maximin, while Ramazan Civelek, Mustafa Sariarslan, and an own goal by Dominik Livakovic scored for the visitors.
Kayserispor came out flying and took the lead just 7 minutes in thanks to a goal from Civelek, dominating a Fenerbahce side that looked completely out of sync. It wasn’t until the 36th minute that Talisca leveled things up, making it 1–1 going into halftime.
Late drama in Istanbul
Right after the break, in the 48th minute, a deflected header bounced off Livakovic’s back and into his own net, putting Kayserispor back in front. But Fenerbahce responded quickly—Saint-Maximin equalized with a beautiful volley in the 64th minute, and fifteen minutes later, Talisca buried a penalty for his second of the match to give the hosts the lead.
With the score in their favor, Mourinho’s team decided to sit back and defend the result. But that plan backfired in the dying moments. In the 90+3rd minute, a perfect cross from Baris Sazdagi was headed in by Sariarslan, snatching a dramatic late equalizer.

The draw leaves Fenerbahce in second place with 72 points, now five behind league leaders Galatasaray. Meanwhile, Kayserispor climb to 13th place with 37 points, pulling further away from the relegation zone and grabbing a key result late in the season.
