Match Report
Holders Germany sensationally crashed out of the first round of the World Cup for the first time since 1938 after losing 2-0 to South Korea, with VAR used to award two injury-time goals.
Joachim Low's side went into the game needing to match or better Sweden's result against Mexico, but they failed to break down Korea's dogged resistance and were undone at the last, while the Scandinavians romped to a 3-0 victory.
If World Cup-winning head coach Low thought his problems were behind him after a superb second half in Germany's 2-1 win over Sweden in their second Group F game, he was wrong, and the inclusion of Mesut Ozil in the front four did little to inspire his turgid team.
Korea, with nothing to play for but pride, gave everything they had in hot conditions in Kazan and got their reward in stoppage time when Kim Young-gwon struck from close range and had an offside decision overturned by VAR before Son Heung-min raced clear of the German defence and rolled the ball into an empty net.
Whether Germany's failure spells the end of Low's glorious era in charge of the national team remains to be seen, but he will certainly face questions as to why his side was so desperately lacking in cohesion and urgency when the stakes were so high.

Hello! Welcome to the Live Updates of South Korea Vs Germany! It's a big day in Group F with all four sides still able to qualify! South Korea's hopes are very faint, whilst Germany can progress with a win by two clear goals, any other results and we might have to get the calculators. Regardless we have got you with all ther permiatations from the group, along with highlights!
Preview
South Korea take on Germany knowing that they have the faintest chance of making it out of Group F, despite losing both their group games against Sweden and Mexico.
The only way the Teguk Warriors can qualify is if they beat Germany, and Mexico defeat Sweden, however, the Asian side must have a better goal difference than Germany & Sweden to qualify.
It may be a long shot but South Korea will be looking to spring the upset and will be hoping to catch the Germany side on an off day just like Mexico did in their 1-0 opener game victory against the 2014 winners.
In team news, Jooho Park is an absentee with a thigh injury. Apart from this Shin Tae-Yong has a full strength team to choose from.
Son Heung-min is expected to start again, and the Tottenham star has the hopes of a nation on his shoulders. His stunning consolation goal against Mexico highlighted the playmaker's undeniable skill. South Korea fans will be hoping for more of the same from the mercurial attacker if the Asain side is to defy the odds and reach the round of sixteen for the third time in their history.
South Korea Predicted Team
Hyeonwoo Jo; Yong Lee, Hyunsoo Jang, Younggwon Kim, Minwoo Kim; Seonmin Moon, Jacheol Koo, Sungyeung Ki, Heechan Hwang; Jaesung Lee, Heungmin Son

Germany head into their final group game with their qualification hopes in their own hand's thanks to a last-gasp winner from Toni Kroos against Sweden. The Real Madrid man stepped up for Die Mannschaft and showed leadership for his country. His stunning strike has garnered plenty of praise including from former German captain Lothar Matthäus in the beIN SPORTS studio.
Joachim Löw will certainly be keeping an eye on the other game between Mexico and Sweden which is taking part at the same time. A victory by two clear goals will confirm the 2014 winners place in the next round regardless in what happens in the other game, and that will be the aim of Germany against a South Korean side who have lost both of their games so far.
In team news, Germany will not be without Jérôme Boateng as he was sent off against Sweden, with Hummels likely to come in to replace the Bayern defender. A call will have to be made on Sebastian Rudy, who was injured in the second group game. Whilst after two exciting cameos from the bench Julian Brandt is expected to be handed a start in this crunch clash.
Germany Predicted Team
Neuer, Kimmich, Rüdiger, Hummels, Hector, Rudy, Kroos, Müller, Reus, Brandt, Werner
It promises to be a fascinating encounter as Germany look to book their place in the round of sixteen against South Korea. Watch the Live & Exclusive stream of the game on MAX HD3 & beIN SPORTS CONNECT.
